Future Directions 02: Career Pathways Looking for work

02/06/2024

After completing my graduation project, I started working on my future plans to stay in the UK. As an animation graduate, my first choice was to get into the animation industry, so I put finding a job at the top of my list of plans, here are the avenues I explored to find a job.

  1. Animation/Film Funding.

Applying for funding for animation is not my first choice, but if I were to choose a more artist-oriented path, funding could be a great option, and it’s a great deal for a recent graduate without a lot of money to have both financial backing and the opportunity to explore their own artistic path. However, applying for funding is not an easy task. It requires a lot of preparation, so I will prepare a detailed proposal for my application in the coming summer holidays!

2. Job-sharing platform

5. How do I work as a freelancer?

  • Financial goals: decide how much I should earn.
  • Product and service: Think about what products or services I can offer.
  • Promotion: portfolio; website; ins; showreel.
